Working Holiday Visa /Work and Holiday Visa)
(Subclass 417/462)
Working holiday visa is a visa which allows young people to work and holiday in Australia for up to 1 year. This visa has separated into 2 main categories – Subclasses 417 & 462. Working Holiday Visa - Subclass 417 If you are a passport holder of Hong Kong SAR (including British National Overseas (BNO)), Taiwan, Canada or United Kingdom etc, you may be eligible to apply a Working Holiday Visa (Subclass 417). |
To obtain the 417 visa, you must meet the following requirements:
If you have completed three months of specified work in regional Australia, you may be eligible to apply for a second Working Holiday Visa.
- Have not previously entered Australia on a Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462);
- Hold a valid passport from a country involved in the working holiday program with Australia (such as HKSAR);
- Age between 18 – 30 (except for Canadian passport holder – age up to 35 from 1 November 2018);
- Have enough money to support yourself on a working holiday (AUD 5000) and to purchase a return or onward travel ticket at the end of your stay;

Work and Holiday Visa – Subclass 462
If you are a passport holder of China, Malaysia, Singapore or United States etc, you may be eligible to obtain a Work and Holiday visa (subclass 462).
To obtain a 462 visa, you must meet the following criteria:

- Age between 18 – 30;
- Have enough money to support yourself on a working holiday (AUD 5000) and to purchase a return or onward travel ticket at the end of your stay;
- Hold tertiary qualifications or have successfully completed at least 2 years of undergraduate university study;
- IELTS average band score at least 4.5
If you have completed three months of specified work in regional Australia, you may be eligible to apply for a second Work and Holiday Visa.
Student Visa/ Student Guardian Visa (Subclass 500/590)

- Obtained a CoE – Confirmation of Enrolment;
- Confirmed the welfare arrangement for the student (under 18);
- Proof of Genuine Temporary entry;
- Meet the English language requirement;
- Meet the financial capacity;
- Meet the health and character requirement; and
- Arrange appropriate health insurance.
Student Guardian Visa - Subclass 590
If you are a parent or guardian and would like to take care of your children who is studying in Australia, you may apply for a Student Guardian visa (subclass 590). If you meet the following requirements, you may be eligible to obtain a subclass 590 visa:
