Law Student

Our office offers summer / winter internship for law students.  Our internship offers you an opportunity to get a feel for working in a law firm. You may  have opportunities to:

• assist with legal research;
• drafting legal documents;
• meet and observe in our client's interview
• attend a range of informal talks to discover more the legal industry. 

We welcome applications from first year to penultimate year law undergraduates in Australia.

Current Opportunities

We are looking to recruit a driven law graduate or admitted Australian solicitor to join our team. The role would suit someone who is eager to learn and develop their skills and knowledge.

About the Role
Our firm focuses on representing clients in relation to Australian property, commerical and migration law. The main duties of this role will be (but not limited to) the followings: 

• Preparing and advising on Australian property contracts.
• Conveyancing and strata plans of subdivision (including development works).
• Property and strata title advice.
• Sale of property or commercial contract/agreement drafting.
• Leases and licences.
• Undertaking due diligence on properties, prepare title reports, draft leases, licences, assignments and transfers.
• Interviewing clients and taking instructions in relation to Australian migration matter.
• Assisting with / skilling-up in migration planning and strategies to manage cases from start to finish.
• Legal research and compliance.

You will work closely with and be mentored by the firm’s partner experienced in their relevant practice areas.

The Candidate
The successful applicant will be resilient, energetic and extremely organised.
In addition you will: 

• Have graduated or about to graduate, completed or will be completed your PLT or have up to 2 years Australian law experience (PQE 0-2).
• Have the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships with team members and our valued clientele.
• Possess strong drafting skills, time management and attention to detail.
• Be an organised professional, able to diarise important dates and complete tasks according to deadlines.
• A real passion to practice and develop further in Australian property law.
